Introduction

A skilled researcher and communicator, Brittany Doughty has experience in laboratory research, health policy, healthcare finance and chronic disease epidemiology. She has also completed several certifications and trainings.

Before joining HMA, she served the State of Florida as a program assistant with the Florida Overdose Data to Action (FL-OD2A) program, a program funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, she supported the team and provided data surveillance and dissemination to all partners and stakeholders to help combat the statewide opioid crisis.

Brittany conducted research and collected data, reported findings, prepared transcripts, letters and additional materials as needed and managed the FL-OD2A website. Helping to keep the team organized, she also recorded meeting minutes and managed office duties and reports.

She earned a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, both from Florida State University, and an associate’s degree in arts and sciences from Thomas University.
